Making the

local land
features.

While developing the vineyard blocks to achieve the best wine quality, we have been careful to show respect for the natural landforms.

Waterways follow the natural pathways that streams and rivers have created over the ages. The roads are designed to fit in with their surroundings.

We have used the estate’s abundant rocks for many purposes. They line the sides of waterways and the banks of the man-made lake, Lake Pinot. This not only looks great, but helps to limit soil erosion. Larger rocks line some of the 1.5km of road from the entrance of the vineyard to the operations building.
